You’ve been invited to join our Avensi Wave Secret Sessions because we see you as a trailblazer in the coffee community ❤️
The New Espresso & Tasting Glasses
The first of its kind, Avensi Wave brings a new way to appreciate coffee–featuring an innovative self-aerating design that allows you to swirl, sip, and savor the hidden aromas and flavors of your favorite brews.
The unique internal architecture features a first for sensory: 2-pairs of bi-directional wave ramps work harmoniously to aerate the flavors as you swirl, allowing you to awaken hidden aromas & flavors, and quickly cool your coffee to the optimal drinking temperature for better flavor perception.
This new collection is designed for ‘tasting’, just like the fine crystalware tasting glasses made for wine & whiskey appreciation. The smaller form and single wall is intentionally designed to bring all your senses closer to the aromas & flavors for a more immersive sensory experience! For the best aroma & flavor experience, pour a small amount into the glass, swirl to aerate the flavors, and savor each sip. The single walled design is comfortable to hold & swirl with warm coffee, as long as the pour volume stays below the top of the wave ramps.

Inspired by the original Senti glass, the Aeresso Wave features a domed shape profile that captures & intensifies espresso’s rich aromas, while enhancing sweetness. As you swirl, the wave-ramps serve to both aerate flavors and mix the layers of your espresso for balanced flavor in every sip. It also doubles as tasting glass for your favorite filter coffees.
Inspired by the original Alto glass, the Alto Wave features an hourglass shape that amplifies delicate aromatics and positions your nose at the focal point of the aromas, while the wide rim spreads coffee evenly across your palette enhancing brightness for an unparalleled tasting experience.
To inspire your fun flavor experiments with the Avensi Wave Prototypes, we created a Quick Start Guide with 2 simple experiments to get the best sensory experience from your prototypes. Feel free to try your own experiments, brews, and coffees. We’re excited to hear your feedback!
- You can pull espresso shots directly into the espresso glass.
- For the best flavor experience, we recommend single shots (45mL or less). This keeps the pour volume below the top of the wave ramps (75mL).
- You can also pull longer shots up to 75mL; allow the espresso to cool so it’s safe to swirl.
- Swirl the glass to aerate the flavors.
- The wave ramps will also mix the crema naturally without the need for a spoon.
- Enjoy the aromas and savor the flavors with each sip!
- Brew directly into a separate carafe.
- Pour a small amount into the Avensi Wave glass. This keeps your coffee hot in the carafe, while you serve small amounts for tasting.
- For the best flavor experience, keep the pour volume below the top of the wave ramps (< 120mL).
- Swirl the glass to aerate the flavors.
- Both the 120mL tasting glass and 75mL espresso glass can be used for enjoying pour over.
- Enjoy the aromas and savor the flavors with each sip!
