Ever heard the phrase ‘Specialty coffee’ and wondered what it means and what makes it so ‘special’? It’s definitely not Dunkin’ Donuts or even Starbucks! It’s not the mass produced stuff that all tastes the same: bitter, nutty, and chocolatey.

Over one year ago, our journey in search of the ‘World’s Best Coffee Cup’ took us to a small city named Chiang Mai, a hidden gem in Thailand with quite possibly the highest number of coffee shops per capita in all of South East Asia.

So what’s the meaning of AVENSI? If you look it up in the dictionary, you’ll find that it doesn’t officially exist. That’s right, it’s a name we came up with! Just like the flavors hiding in your favorite cup of coffee, the name has a deeper meaning and story behind it. 

Our mission when we started this journey was to inspire coffee lovers to explore the diverse flavor notes in every cup. To achieve that goal, we created a cup that reveals and enhances both the familiar and hidden tastes and aromas of your favorite coffee.
